Got a question about the event?

If you're attending From the Light Flow: Bena Koorliny and/or Song Circle please read the essential info below.

From the Light Flow: Bena Koorliny is an immersive event involving a one-way journey through parkland and along the Derbarl Yerrigan / Swan River. The story unfolds in sections as you walk and is best experienced in one session. Along the way you will encounter dazzling towers of light, larger-than-life illuminations, flame and elements of performance.

Song Circle is a stunning music and dance event that can be experienced from all sides. Singers and instrumentalists perform songs in Noongar language reflecting on animals and environments from Perth through the Great Southern to Esperance, as dancers respond to the music on a ring of sand surrounding the stage.

Both events take place across four nights and each night will be the same. You can choose which event to take in first, and you can extend your evening with a visit to the food truck area for a bite to eat.

Please note: opening times vary for each event.

Make your way by either walking to the event location (which is near Charles Patterson Park), or by taking the free shuttle bus from Perth Stadium Bus Station.

The event location is approximately 1.7km from Perth Stadium Station. The walk around both events including the food truck area, is approximately 2km.  The event route will include paving, grass, compact dirt, sloped and uneven surfaces.

We recommend allowing around 40 minutes from start to finish for From the Light Flow: Bena Koorliny, although you can enjoy the journey at your own pace.

Song Circle performances last approximately 20 minutes, with pauses in between. Performances do not run on a fixed schedule and so we suggest allowing approximately an hour at the Song Circle venue to enjoy the presentation and space.

From the Light Flow: Bena Koorliny - you can begin your journey at any time from 7pm with the final entry at 9.30pm. This incredible free event is expected to attract large crowds and so we may need to manage access to the event to keep everyone safe and comfortable. We ask you to please be patient – it will be worth the wait!

Song Circle - you can experience anytime between 5.30pm and 9pm.

Food Trucks – grab a bite to eat between 5pm and 10pm.

If you are around between 7pm and 9pm, why not take a seat in the Katadjin Waanginy area. Here you might get the chance to have a yarn and share a story with an Aboriginal knowledge holder.
